The Industrial Engineering Program has a qualified registration 6520 of 2011, attached to the Faculty of Engineering and with a career in the Caribbean region since 2000.
In Colombia, universities include a greater number of mathematics and physics courses, unlike their counterpart programs in Industrial Engineering in Europe and the US, however, in the basic engineering sciences the relationship is reversed, both in number of courses, as topics addressed, being very small. On the other hand, the professional and occupational profiles of industrial engineers are very heterogeneous, with differences even between regions and types of universities (public and private).
