The program's main objective is to train high-quality teachers with a solid understanding of the linguistic theory on processes of language acquisition and learning, second language teaching methodologies, and digital learning environments. The program has 4 main components:
- Linguistics
- Didactics and pedagogy
- Learning in digital environments

The degree is offered as a completely virtual program, and will be taught predominantly in English using the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) model. The benefit of this approach is that prepares students to be excellent second language teachers while also allowing them to develop their language skills. Therefore, candidates must demonstrate a minimum level of proficiency in English of B1 according to the CEFR in order to be admitted. It is important to note that, although most subjects are taught in English, the program is designed to train teachers of second languages in general, and students will also need to be proficient in Spanish.
